Venice, Florence, and Rome K100

Day 1, (Sun) arrive Venice

Arrive in Venice airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Welcome dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 2, (Mon) in Venice

Today begins with a sightseeing tour Venice. Start your walking tour in St. Mark's Square, visit St. Mark's Basilica and the Doge's Palace, and view the Bell Tower and Bridge of Sighs. Also visit a glass blowing factory where you will see the demonstration of a traditional Venetian glass blowing. Balance of the day is at leisure. Enjoy Venice at your own pace, shop or join an optional gondola ride. (B)

Day 3, (Tue) to Florence

Drive to Ferrara, a renaissance gem in the Emilia-Romagna region standing on the banks of the Po River. Orientation tour with your Tour Director. Continue to Pisa to view the famous Piazza del Miracoli with its Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and Duomo. End your day in Florence with dinner in your hotel. (B,D)

Day 4, (Wed) in Florence

Today's morning city tour begins at the majestic Piazza del Duomo to see the Cathedral crowned by Brunelleschi's Dome, the Giotto's Bell Tower, and the Baptistery with Ghiberti's bronze "Gate of Paradise". Then, visit the Academy of Fine Arts, where Michelangelo's David is displayed. Tour ends at the Piazzale Michelangelo with the most spectacular view over Florence. Remainder of the day is at leisure to independently savor the renaissance splendor of the Tuscan capital. (B)

Day 5, (Thu) to Rome

Traveling towards Rome through the stunning panorama of Tuscany, and afterwards, travel through Umbria to Assisi for a walking tour of the main square and a visit to the Basilica of St. Francis. Continue to Rome for dinner and overnight. (B,D)

Day 6, (Fri) in Rome

A full day sightseeing tour shows you all the highlights of the Eternal city. Visit the Vatican Museums with Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica. Then continue on to visit the Colosseum, ancient Palatine Hill overlooking the Circus Maximus and the Imperial Palace, and the Roman Forum. Overnight. (B,L)

Day 7, (Sat) in Rome

Today you have a full day free in spectacular Rome. Your tour director will have suggestions on how to spend your time. You might want to visit some of the wonderful shops, galleries and museums, or relax in a sidewalk cafe - there are plenty of things to do and see, depending on your interests. Tonight, a farewell dinner with your fellow travelers will provide a perfect way to celebrate your glimpse of Italy. (B,D)

Day 8, (Sun) departing Rome

Morning transfer to Rome airport. Your home-bound flight arrives the same day. (B)

Day 1 –Arrival: - Arrive in Guyana you will be transported to the Roraima Hotels located in the city of Georgetown 

Day 2 After Break fast,You will then participate in a City Tour sightseeing our historical wooden buildings including the World’s Tallest Wooden Building – St George’s Cathedral. Along your way to the Botanical Garden and Zoo; you will stop to take in the fresh air of the Atlantic Ocean from our Sea walls.   

Day 3/4 ArrowpointAll Inclusive 2 nights: The trip to Arrowpoint will include a visit to an Amerindian Reservation known as Santa Mission where many of the Arawak and Carib tribes reside. You will be able to experience village life and see and purchase local hand craft made from materials of the rainforest.  Activities -The activities at Arrowpoint are numerous, educational and exciting. Whether it’s the thrill of Bird Watching, the excitement of Mountain Biking, Hiking, Kayaking, Pedal boating or simply relaxing in a hammock with a book, visitors will discover nature while having great fun and adventure. Dinner will be served on the beach around a bunfire, after which you will be taken on the Creatures of the night expedition.       

Day 5 - Return to Georgetown. Check in at the Roraima Hotels; Enjoy the day touring the local markets, shopping and dining in the city from Indian, Creole and Chinese restaurants spend the day relaxing at the poolside.         

Day 6 – Trip to Kaieteur Falls Amerindian legend of the Patamona tribe has it that “Kai” one of the tribe’s chiefs (after whom the falls is named) committed self-sacrifice by canoeing himself over the falls.   It was believed this would encourage the Great Spirit “Makaonaima’ to save the tribe from being destroyed by the savage rival tribe the “Carabishis”. In addition, the Kaieteur national park support’s a micro environment with Tank Bromelaids, the largest in the world, in which the tiny golden frog spends its entire life. The rarely seen Cock-of-the-rock can sometimes be seen nesting nearby. The lucky visitor may also see the famous flights of the Swifts or Makaonaima birds which nest under the vast shelf of rock carved by the water over the centuries.       

Day 7 –  Depart hotel for airport transfer.
